• Synchronize your Spaces, Tangels and conversations across devices

• Improve the reliability and performance of Tangled

3. End-to-End Encryption

Tangled is designed with privacy at its core.

Private content is protected using end-to-end encryption where supported by the Tangled service. Our encryption architecture uses modern cryptographic techniques including ECDH key exchange and AES-256-GCM encryption.

Where end-to-end encryption applies, the content is encrypted before it leaves your device and is intended to be readable only by authorized members of the relevant Space.

Because encryption coverage can depend on the type of data and feature, Tangled does not claim that every piece of information associated with your account is end-to-end encrypted.

4. Your Content

You control what you create and choose to share through Tangled.

Content you share in a Space may be accessible to the members of that Space.

We do not sell, rent, or use your private Tangels or private conversations to serve advertisements.

We may process limited technical information associated with your content when necessary to provide synchronization, storage, security, backups, or other requested functionality.

5. Photos, Camera and Media

If you choose to upload or capture photos or other media, Tangled may request the relevant device permission.

We only access media when necessary for a feature you choose to use.

You can manage these permissions through your device settings.

6. Contacts and Invitations

If you choose to invite someone to Tangled, you may provide information such as their email address or phone number.

We use this information to facilitate the invitation you requested.

We do not use invitation information to send unrelated marketing messages.

7. Notifications

Tangled may use push notification services to deliver notifications such as:

• New messages
• New Tangels
• Space invitations
• Space activity
• Other notifications you enable

You can disable notifications through your device settings.

8. Payments and Subscriptions

If you purchase Tangled Pro, payments are processed through the applicable app store, such as Google Play.

We do not receive or store your complete payment card details.

Subscription information may be provided to us so that we can determine whether your account or Space has an active Pro entitlement.

9. Third-Party Services

Tangled may rely on trusted service providers to operate parts of the application, such as:

• Authentication
• Cloud infrastructure and storage
• Database and synchronization services
• Push notifications
• Crash and diagnostic reporting
• Payment processing

These providers process information only as necessary to provide their services to us and are subject to their own privacy policies and applicable contractual obligations.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We continuously work to improve the security and reliability of Tangled.

11. Data Retention

We retain account and content information for as long as necessary to provide Tangled and fulfill the purposes described in this policy.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize information associated with your account within a reasonable period, subject to:

• Legal or regulatory requirements
• Security and fraud-prevention requirements
• Backup systems that may take additional time to expire

Content belonging to a shared Space may also depend on the Space's other members and applicable retention requirements.

12. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

• Access your information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated information
• Request a copy of your information
• Withdraw certain permissions or consents
• Object to or restrict certain processing

13. Children's Privacy

Tangled is not intended for children under the minimum age required to use the service in their country.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age.

Tangled and its service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live.

Where required, we take appropriate measures to protect personal information during such transfers.
